The Dress
I bought this one of a kind Dotty Darcy dress from Phillipa Lepley in 2021 for a July 2021 wedding. It was custom-made and based on a design I liked that was then altered to make it less ballgown.
As with all Phillipa Lepley dresses, it has a hidden corset, which can be altered to someone with a smaller or bigger breast. There are delicate buttons down the back and whilst the dress came without a sash, I decided to add a silk ivory sash to bring it in at the waist. This is also included in the sale of the dress.
There are 3 layers of fabric under the dotty petticoat on top which are flowing, to make it less stiff.
It has been professionally dry cleaned and kept in their specialised boxes. As much as I don't want to part with it, I don't want it to go to waste and would love to have someone else enjoy it as much as I have.
