The Dress

The perfect french inspired dress for my fairytale wedding in Paris. I am a very practical individual, and it seemed silly to buy something so extravagant. However, our love story has been 20 years in the making. My husband and I lived together and dated (for 3 years) 20 years ago in NYC. We went on to live separate lives, ultimately finding our way back to each other and are living our best life ever......thus the inspiration to buy this truly dreamy dress. I literally cried the first second I saw this dress it was so breathtaking. (The sales lady and my husband to be were stunned by my instantaneous response to the dress.)

I've never felt more beautiful in my life. While taking photos in Paris, tourists stopped on the street to take photos of the dress. Buses even stopped to take photos. I hate to be the center of attention, and I hate to have my photo taken (and I only ever wear black)....but in this dress....I can truly say, I enjoyed every minute of it. I hope it will bring someone else as much joy as it has brought me.

It is a Lazaro Spring 2022 Brigitte wedding dress, original size 16. Color Petal (champagne/ivory/peach). BMW Silk French corseted bodice, drop waist, 10+ layers of gathered tulle skirt, and chapel train. Each layer of tulle is a different color (white, ivory, peach, pink) giving it an illuminous glow when walking. The shimmer is breathtaking. I was a US size 8 when initially measured, and was a size US 6 for the final fitting, but was a size US 4 by the time of the wedding. It was a little big on me at that time, so I think it would be fair to say the dress is a size 6 US. I don't like to wear my clothes tight, so it could probably accomodate a size 8 US easily. I am 5 foot 2 inches (5'6 with heels)and weighed 117 pounds at my final fitting.

A bustle has been added, so you may pull the train up as needed. I will send you the veil and earrings if you would like to have them. The veil is ivory and has little tiny pearls on the edge. (I can send pictures if you like). I was encouraged to use boob glue to keep my 55 year old girls perky. I wasn't a fan of it, and didn't wear it for the wedding, but despite cleaning there is boob blue residue inside the bodice.

I did not shorten length of the tulle at all, to give it that puddle tulle look at the bottom.

Alterations
