The Dress
This 1978 vintage wedding gown was originally purchased at the Kilpatrick's Department Store in Omaha, Nebraska. It is made of white jersey knit, a typical fabric used in the more casual 70s. The dress features a keyhole neckline, Empire bodice adorned with appliqués of Viennese lace, attached to full, gathered skirt. The long tapered sleeves are trimmed in lace appliqués and white pom pom fringe. The chapel-length train is edged in lace. The turban headpiece, also in white jersey fabric, is attached to sheer chiffon veiling with additional appliqués of Viennese lace.
