CONDITION:
Used - Worn once ☺; Mostly great condition. Clean & Steamed but some minor damage, a minor repair required on lace hem, a small tear of lace overlay at hem only. Has been gently hand-CLEANED only & STEAMED and ready to wear, but requires minor repair. There is slight (very pale yellow) staining at the hem due to rainforest leaf matter, however staining could be removed when mended/rehemmed.

It is a soft, vintage lace on a strapless modified A-line which according to Henry Roth's description, "has all the feel of old school with modern romance." He calls it a dress for a "21st Century Princess," and says, "our Abigail has classic fabric but the shape is very modern."

An exquisite lace covers a satin skirt, shaped with an underskirt of tulle. Soft to touch, the lace pattern is made up of lots of little daisy-like flowers, so unique to other laces. The beading is subtle and details the belt. The belt is sewn in, and there is button detail down the back over a zipper.

Whilst the dress has been cleaned and steamed, there is minor damage to the delicate lace fabric from the nature of my wedding day. Taking up the train/hem will cover repairs where the lace overlay has been torn (a small tear in lace only) by the cane fields. There is slight (very pale yellow) staining at the hem due to rainforest leaf matter, however staining would be removed when mended/rehemmed.

I loved every minute of wearing this dress and wish that I could wear it again! It was romantic, flattering, sophisticated, and simply stunning when worn in a pristine fresh water river. See the picture where I drowned the gown in crystal clear water. This dress makes for magical photos.

Alterations

ALTERATIONS / FLAWS:
The label is a size 12. A seamstress, recommended by Henry Roth, took in the dress flawlessly. Altered to fit my street size of 10-12; Bust: 10B. Measurements taken Bust: 31 ½ inches | Waist: 29 inches | Hips: 40 inches. I'm 5'8" and wore 3.5 inch wedge heels. It was hemmed to fall just above the floor on me. The neckline was altered to give it a gentle sweetheart-shape from the straighter (factory) neckline. Lastly, she added cups in addition to the boning, so no corset or strapless bra is necessary.
