The Dress

Stunning, romantic gown by Berta! Part of the Athens Fall/Winter 2019 collection.

Lots of sparkle and bold floral design. My pictures don’t do this dress justice! White floral appliqués with lots of sequins in the centers, overlaid on a nude/sand coloured layer with a dotted pattern, over a layer of sequins that catch the light and really give it that something extra. Berta’s designs and craftsmanship are noticeably at a whole other level compared to most wedding gown designers. Built-in bodysuit and corset-style bodice with boning and structured cups create that perfect hourglass silhouette that Berta is known for, and it is still incredibly comfortable, easy to move around in and not too heavy. It has a long train with horsehair trim that gives it some more volume at the bottom and makes the train always 'photo-ready'. See-through corset at the back. Straps can either go over the shoulders, draping or can be removed entirely.

I originally posted this dress as “used” so it could be sold after our wedding, but we are eloping now and I am going for a simpler dress that I can get messy for photos. I have updated this post as I am now selling this dress NEW!

The gown is a size 40 EUR, which corresponds with the following measurements:
Bust 36.2"
Waist 27.5"
Hip 37.7"
Cup size US B or EUR C

FYI, the 40 fits me almost perfectly, just a little extra room in the waist. I am usually a size 4 or 6 in dresses (street clothes), size 27 in jeans (sometimes 28) and my measurements are:
Bust 35”
Waist 27”
Hips 36”
Height 5’7
Cup size 34D
