The Dress

I am selling a beautiful Desiree dress made by Amaline Vitale. This was a sample that I purchased from her High Street, Armadale (Melbourne) store in early 2017. It usually retails for around AUD 4,600, but I bought this sample for AUD 900.

It is made from the most beautiful Italian silk, which is not used in the newer models made by Amaline Vitale (this is part of the reason I purchased it). I absolutely fell in love with this dress - it is so elegant and the way the silk moves when you walk is amazing, very Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. However, I didn't end up wearing it to my wedding as I decided to go for a more beachy feel.

Being a sample (on the shop floor), the dress does have some small marks including under the arms and notably around the train. However, most of these could be easily removed during the alteration process. All of the buttons on the back of the dress are intact. It comes with a thin silk belt (shown in one of the photos) and an Amaline Vitale suit bag.

It is a large size 12, which could be easily altered (this was my original plan as I am a size 8). At the time of my wedding, I spoke to a seamstress who confirmed it would be easy to alter the dress, notably to remove the parts with marks. It is really a blank canvas.

Since purchasing the dress it has been professionally dry cleaned by Syndal's Professional Bridal Dry Cleaners in High St Armadale for AUD 250.
