The Dress

I chose this gorgeous Prea James Arielle gown for its modern, minimalist and chic silhouette which perfectly complemented our tropical Bali wedding.

The dress is made from 100% silk faille and with a 100% silk satin lining for an incredibly luxurious finish. The draping across the v-neck is effortlessly elegant, and the material beautifully sits on the hips and creates amazing movement in the skirt as you walk.

The details are what make this dress - the centre split with delicate detailing on the skirt, beautiful neck and the deep v open back. Above all, it's incredibly comfortable and I felt confident wearing this gown from walking down the aisle to sunset photography on the beach.

The dress is in great condition and was worn only for the ceremony and seated reception before I changed into another dress for the dancing. The only slight wear you can see on the dress is on the underside of the train where the more delicate silk lining has some slight pulls.

I was lucky enough to actually meet Prea and buy directly from her studio. She also created a custom strap for the back which I will also include with the dress. I didn't end up using it, but it would make for an interesting variation to the dress and provide more structure and support.

Alterations

I underwent alterations to bring in the dress. It could still definitely be brought further in with more tailoring, though there would not be any excess material if you were looking to take it out.

A finger loop has been added to the train to help carry the dress and reduced damage.

The dress was also slightly brought up to match my heel height.

I am 165cm and wore a 6cm heel.
