The Dress

This was the second dress I tried on and the moment my mother saw it she said that’s the one! I love the simplicity and elegance of it. You can add accessories to change it up to your own personal style. Felt like a princess in this dress. Since I won’t wear it again, I’d love for someone else to enjoy it. The material was so comfortable wearing throughout the day and night.

The bottom of the dress was soiled and the cleaners weren’t sure they could do much, but they did wonders. There is only one mark on the very bottom they couldn’t get out. I put a quarter next to it to show. It’s the very bottom and not noticeable when gown is on because of the fold of the skirt.

Alterations

Slight taking in at the waist and straps. I’m 31” below chest. Cups added, easy to remove if not desired. Fitting now closer to a US size 6-8. Dress has been hemmed to floor length when I had shoes on so height would be about 5’11”. A bustle was added under the skirt. There are theee ties, each a different colour so you know exactly where they are meant to tie. My matron-of-honour did the bustle in just a minute or two, easy-peasy, so there was more time to enjoy the reception.
