The Dress

This was my dream dress, worn May 2018 in Puglia Italy.

Handmade in South Africa and shipped to the UK.

The entire dress is an embroidered stretch mesh with beaded lace applique. The linear beaded lace has an elongating effect. That is placed over the most comfortable nude light blush coloured stretch scuba lining from the waist down with a stretch waist band for the best fit. I wanted my dress to be figure hugging and have good shape as there are few things worse than a dress that loses shape as the day goes, I also wanted to feel comfortable and able to dance the night away. The final layer is a cascade of beaded lace flowers and then on top of that tiny laser cut georgette flowers were hand sewn on to create a 3D effect that is strategically placed over the bust, on the sleeves and then down the dress ending in what almost looks like a beautiful puddle of flowers.

I am 5.4ft (I wore a 3.3inch heel on the day) with a bust size 32B and my waist and hips are a size 8. The top half of the dress is fitted but has space and the entire dress is made of stretch material (the nice kind of stretch that smooths over any lumps and bumps if there are :).

The dress was an absolute dream to wear, I honestly felt incredible. I could dance and move in it with such ease.

It is a very romantic, feminine dress to wear - I wore this also for a few house at our celebration party in the UK and because of the material the shape looked like it has never been worn before.

The dress has now been dry cleaned and it just way too nice to sit my a wardrobe.
